How to make a 5-2 schedule

   Pick the pattern

   “5/2 — weekdays” if Saturday and Sunday are off. If your two days off are other days in a row, pick “Custom”: 5 days on and 2 off.

   Set the first working day

   For a custom pattern the week of five working days and two off repeats from that day, forwards and backwards.

   Check your hours

   They are used to count the month: 8 hours a day makes 40 hours a week.

   Print or add to your calendar

   “Add to phone calendar” downloads an .ics file with the month’s working days.

• How many working days does a 5-2 schedule have in a month?

  20 to 23, as many as there are weekdays in the month. The maker shows the exact number under the calendar. It doesn’t count public holidays.

• How many hours a week is a 5-2 schedule?

  At 8 hours a day, 40 hours. Enter your own hours and the maker adds up the month.

• Can my days off be other than Saturday and Sunday?
